The Sisters Come To Share Christ’s Love
The arrival of the Bridgettine Sisters in Columbus heralds a beautiful mission of sharing God’s love through their exceptional gifts of prayer & hospitality for the Unity of the Church. Their presence in our community offers a place of peace and a home for authentic Catholic formation. As we set forth on the path to construct the Chapel and Guesthouse, let us draw inspiration from the Sisters’ steadfast dedication to ensuring that all who cross their threshold are embraced, cherished, and spiritually uplifted. This journey is a testament to their unwavering commitment, and with your support, we can build a haven where God’s love and hospitality shine brightly for all to experience.

Support The Mission Of The Bridgettines In Columbus
Please leave us your prayer intentions. Also, please know your generous donation will help fund our mission.

Dear Friends of St. Birgitta,
In the words of Saint Elizabeth Hesselblad, “Nothing is too small in the service of God! No sacrifice too great for the missionary whose heart is inflamed with love. The burning heart of Jesus burning in us. Humble missionaries of Our Most Holy Saviour, let us look up to Him as our great model and example, studying His life in the Gospel and letting Him live and work in us and through us.”
Be assured of our daily prayers for all our friends and benefactors.
Expanding the Mission
We see two potential fundraising goals: the chapel and a retreat house. A Retreat House, which we fondly call a “House of Peace,” will offer rooms for various purposes, including accommodating patients’ families from local hospitals, travelers, and groups on retreat. This expansion aligns with the Bridgettine Sisters’ mission to provide comfort to anyone in need while remaining devoted to God and their vows.
Living the Beatitudes
In addition to carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders in perpetual prayer in the presence of Our Lord, the Sisters also prepare over 250 hot meals 4 days a week for the Holy Family Soup Kitchen, 52,000 hot meals a year!

A Rich Legacy
650 Years of Devotion
The Bridgettine Sisters trace their roots back 650 years to the Order of the Most Holy Savior, founded by St. Bridget of Sweden. Today, the Order has 59 convents worldwide, each offering an authentically Catholic place of peace, prayer, and welcome. Their enduring mission is Prayer and Hospitality for the Unity of the Church.

Eucharistic Revival
Joining the Sisters for Mass on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 7 a.m. Wednesdays at 4 pm (except the 1st Wednesdays of the month) and Eucharistic Adoration (every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m.- 8:45 pm) can be transformative.
The Bridgettine Order’s spirituality centers on a deep love for Christ and the fullness of liturgical worship. Spending time with Jesus and receiving Him can truly change the world.
